Nancy Wilson, three-time Grammy-winning artist who called herself a “Song Stylist,” has died. Devra Hall Levy, her Manager, stated she passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday after a long illness.
Ms. Wilson was from Chillicothe, Ohio, and entered into the music arena initially focusing on R&B music but later excelled at Jazz ballads.
Singer and songwriter John Legend reacted to Wilson’s passing on Twitter:
As per Nancy’s wishes, no funeral service. Instead her family will hold a celebration of her life, most likely in her birth month of February.
Nancy Wilson was 81 and is survived by her three children and five grandchildren. R.I.P.
