US Customs and border security data shows that over 1,100 people from 19 African countries have been illegally arrested at the US Mexico border since May 30. Cameroonians have been seeking asylum in the US in larger numbers. So, this is our problem. We shouldn’t be ignoring this issue because we believe it doesn’t affect Black people.
