We all were sad when President Barack Obama’s term ended and wondered how life would go on without him. Since then things haven’t been the greatest and everyone’s wishing that Obama would come back. Now he can’t but the idea of it is so tempting that you can’t help but imagine!

Comedian Chris Redd from SNL performed the hilarious sketch Come Back Barack with Chance The Rapper and Kenan Thompson that made the nation laugh and miss Obama even more. Redd talks about the genius behind the iconic song.

“Me and my friend writer Will Stevens wrote that Kenan kind of helped with it to. We were so excited to do it,” explained Redd. When they gave the song to Chance the Rapper to read they couldn’t believe his reaction. “He came in and he read it and he said, ‘oh this is fire.’”

During a table read for the show Redd remembers praying that they’d let the song go through. “Please let this Black piece of art make the show,” laughed Redd.

A long time listener of the Tom Joyner Morning show, Redd was happy to be in the studio. “I’ve been listening to you for a long time,” expressed Redd. “My parents have you playing all the time. It’s an honor to meet you.”

Redd is on a comedic drama show called Disjointed on Netflix and Tom couldn’t stop talking about how stupid but funny his character is.

“Naw man, I’m not that stupid but I do love playing dummies,” explained Redd. “Me and Netflix you know we have lunch frequently. They haven’t offered me a special but I’ll take that $500,000. Quick!”
