It’s heating up on the recent installment of Power Season 6: Episode 3-Forgot About Dre., which was directed by series co-creator 50 Cent.
Episode 3 kicks off with Dre back at it and already on a killing spree, when he takes out special agent, Jerry Donavon, the only brother in the FBI, by ambushing and take matters in his own hands by killing Donovan.
Then Alicia Jimenez, head cartel, came face-to-face with Jason, who wanted information, but she refused to comply, and she paid her life for it.
Now that Alicia Jiminez is a wrap, Agent Saxe tells Dre that Alicia’s death means he’s free to go, but he’ll be known as a snitch, he’s likely to get picked up on drug charges and Heaven is now in protective custody. Or, he can stay and help them catch Angela’s killer. “Help me get Ghost,” Saxe says.
LaKeisha, high on her small part in Tommy’s world, stays ready to prove to Tommy that she’s ride-or-die, by offering to clean his money through her shop. Tommy initiates Keisha into the drug game by bringing her to the workplace where he teaches her how the pill game goes. His team not feeling it and uneasy about her presence there. Keisha steps up her game though in “Operation Grab Alicia” sting, in which she helps to pull-off the capture of Alicia Jiminez.
On the election front, an operative named Ramona Garrity from the DNC arrives on the scene to help Gubenatorial hopeful Rashad Tate, win! She’s powerful, beautiful and has some chemistry and an eye on James “Ghost” St. Patrick. I sense a future seduction being set up.
Jason, leader of the large cartel who supplies Tommy with the weight he moves, manipulates once again both Tommy and Ghost, dangling a debt punishment/reward over their heads. It’s now a game of who does it first.
At the end of the hour, Ghost calls Tommy to suggest that they team up to take Jason out. “The only reason you calling me now is because you ain’t got nobody. That’s why you lost today,” Tommy says, irate. “The next time I see you, Ima cancel Christmas on your a–.”
At the end of the day, all is right with the world again now that 50 Cent delivered on his promise to put the original Power theme song back in the opening credits. . Fans asked to hear Joe’s voice, he listened, and it’s back to stay.
Until next Sunday “Power” fanatics!
