Everybody loved the show Martin back in the 90’s and we loved Tisha Campbell Martin as Gina. Those days are long behind us however there has been talks about a possible reboot of the show and everyone is hoping it happens.
“For everybody else it was about #reboot. For us it was more about #reconnecting you know what I mean,” said Martin. “We’ve all evolved…I will say yes there are conversations talking about #reboot.”
People also want to know how the show will address the issue of Thomas Mikal Ford who played Tommy. Ford died at the age of 52 in 2016. “We definitely would acknowledge it. I know it’s heartbreaking,” expressed Martin.
The 1988 film School Daze just celebrated 30 years since it was first released and Martin can’t believe it.
“We’re doing a panel with Spike Lee. It’s been 30 years. I was 18 years old,” expressed Martin. “That was one of those things that I just really wanted to be apart of I had no idea I was going to be a lead.”
Martin has a new song called I Don’t Wanna Be Alone that’s out now and she’s amazed at the similarities between it and a song she sung on School Daze.
“I sang a song I don’t want to be alone tonight in Schooldays,” explained Martin. Check out the dance video down below.
