One-third of the all-girl hip-hop trio TLC, Lisa (Left Eye) Lopes, is getting her tombstone upgraded. She was a member of the pop music group “TLC” which she formed with Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins in 1992.
It’s been fifteen years, April 25, 2002, since Lopes was killed in a car crash while conducting charity work in Honduras. The Lopes family recently unveiled a stunningly detailed headstone for the rapper. The new design was commissioned for the beloved star, created by famous headstone artist Tim Morris aka Cemetery Tim.
Her sister Reigndrop Lopes, brother Ronald and mother Wanda all gathered to receive the intricate slab of granite which features lyrics to her famous verse on “Water Falls”.
The late star is resting currently at the Hillandale Memorial Gardens in Stonecrest, Georgia.
