Chadwick Boseman Hollywood Walk of Fame star Unveiling
Chadwick Boseman to Receive Posthumous Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Chadwick Boseman — the beloved actor whose portrayals of real-life Black icons and larger-than-life heroes inspired millions — will receive a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 20. His star will be placed at 6904 Hollywood Blvd., marking his enduring impact on film, culture, and the world.
The dedication ceremony will include remarks from two people who knew his artistry intimately: director Ryan Coogler and Academy Award winner Viola Davis. Both worked closely with Boseman and have shared how deeply his spirit shaped their creative journeys.
Boseman’s legacy remains unmatched. His powerful performance in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom earned him a posthumous Academy Award nomination, along with wins at the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards, and Screen Actors Guild Awards. The film, adapted from August Wilson’s play, showcased his extraordinary emotional depth — even in his final years.
Before becoming a global icon, Boseman introduced audiences to masterful portrayals of real Black legends:
• Jackie Robinson in 42
• James Brown in Get On Up
• Thurgood Marshall in Marshall
But it was his groundbreaking role as Marvel Comics superhero King T’Challa — the Black Panther — in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that transformed him into a worldwide phenomenon. Through Black Panther and his appearances in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, Boseman brought dignity, power, and cultural pride to the MCU. “Wakanda Forever” became a global anthem — and a symbol of representation he carried with grace.
