Rim up a glass with salt and serve up a beverage that tastes like the summer sun.
Actually, of all the fresh fruit margaritas I’ve made in the past, I was surprised to realize that I had never tried making them with fresh peaches!
Ingredients
- 1 cup ice
- 1 1/2 ounces tequila
- 1/4 ounce triple sec
- 1/2 ounce peach schnapps
- 1/4 ounce lime juice
- 1 medium peach (skinned, pitted, fresh or 1 cup canned peaches)
To make the peach margarita, pour 1 1/2 ounces tequila, 1/2 ounce each triple sec and lime juice, and 1 ounce peach puree in a cocktail shaker. Shake well, strain into a chilled cocktail glass, and garnish with a peach slice. Tip: To prevent your peach garnish from turning brown, dunk it into a little lemon juice.
Margaritas can be served on the rocks (shaken with ice), frozen (blended with ice), or straight up (without ice).
Although if you’re making these in the winter, you can thaw out some frozen peaches. I just don’t think they’re quite as flavorful.
It’s fun, easy, and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. What’s your favorite flavor?
