Boxing champion Claressa Shields is celebrating another major milestone after being nominated for the 2026 ESPYS “Best Fighter” award, adding another chapter to her groundbreaking career.

The Flint, Michigan native previously made history in 2023 when she became the first female boxer ever to win an ESPY Award, proving that women in boxing deserve the same recognition, respect, and spotlight as their male counterparts.

Shields celebrated the nomination with fans on social media, reflecting on the journey and the critics who once questioned whether women’s boxing could reach the same heights as men’s boxing.

The undefeated champion, who proudly calls herself the “G.W.O.A.T.” (Greatest Woman of All Time), has continued to use her platform to inspire the next generation of athletes while changing the game inside and outside the ring.

Fans can support Claressa Shields by voting for their favorite athletes through the official ESPYS voting process. The awards ceremony will take place live from the David H. Koch Theater in New York.

From making history in 2023 to continuing to redefine greatness in 2026, Claressa Shields remains a champion who is opening doors and creating a legacy that will last for generations.

Congratulations, Claressa Shields! 🥊🏆
