Alexis Ohanian, husband of Serena Williams and cofounder of Reddit, is resigning from the company’s board. He announced last week his resignation and as he’s stepping down, he is urging the company to replace him with a black person.
Ohanian said in his announcement that he’s making the move in part because of his and Williams’ black daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. Alexis also committed to using future gains from his Reddit stock to serve the black community and focus on curbing racial hate.
Serena Williams says that their daughter will be so proud of her father for resigning from Reddit board.
