The unforgettable proposal took place during what Dr. Cole believed was a birthday celebration — secretly orchestrated by Sapp’s children. Surrounded by family, Sapp got down on one knee and presented her with a stunning diamond ring, marking a joyful new beginning for the blended family.

Sapp has been open about his journey as a widower following the passing of his wife, MaLinda Prince Sapp, in 2010. Since then, he has devoted himself to raising his children and continuing his ministry. Now, with his children grown and supportive, he embraces this next chapter of love.

Dr. La’Boris Cole is a respected therapist, visionary leader, and founder of the internationally recognized Born 2 Danz Worship Arts Conference, as well as CEO of Cole Associates & Counselors of Texas. Her work bridges ministry, mental health, and leadership — aligning beautifully with Sapp’s calling.

Widely known for his crossover hit “Never Would Have Made It,” Sapp remains one of gospel music’s most influential voices. The song’s impact even inspired a 2022 biopic that aired on TV One. With 16 albums, over a billion streams, and induction into the Black Music Entertainment Walk of Fame, Sapp’s legacy continues to grow — both in music and ministry.

And in 2026, it appears God has indeed given him the desire of his heart.
