What’s sweeter than Girl Scout cookies? A little girl and her father singing about it to their own remix of Redbone by Donald Glover. Jacque Reid goes Inside Her Story with Charity Joy and dad Seymore Harrison about their viral Girl Scout cookie remix video.

Jacque could hardly contain herself as she asked little Charity if she knows just how famous she is to which she replies, “Yes.”

Her father Seymore helped make the viral video as a way to sell more cookies. “One day we were out to dinner toward the end of January and we were trying to come up with ideas for Charity to sell these cookies.” He continued, “My wife pulled up videos of little girls making up songs to sell cookies.”

Ever since then the video has been a hit and life for Charity Joy changed starting with friends at school. “They say like I saw you on tv. They’re excited,” explained Charity Joy.

She even had the chance to meet Donald Glover who bought a few boxes himself! “It was pretty fun because I like his voice and I like the way he sings.”

Crushing their goal of 1,300 boxes the song more than doubled their sales. “It was over 8,000 boxes that she ended up selling,” explained Seymore.
