Rocket Foundation Supports ATL Families After Gun Violence
Quavo’s Rocket Foundation Supports Atlanta Families After Gun Violence

When it comes to doing his part in helping to reduce gun violence in the ATL, Quavo is definitely walking it like he talks it.
As Fox 5 Atlanta reports, the GRAMMY-nominated rapper and member of Migos is stepping up to support Atlanta communities devastated by a recent wave of gun violence. Through The Rocket Foundation, an organization he founded in honor of his late nephew and fellow Migos member Takeoff, Quavo has launched a Therapy Support Fund to provide mental health services to those affected.
The initiative comes in response to a tragic weekend in Atlanta that left dozens injured and claimed the lives of two individuals closely connected to The Rocket Foundation’s programs. Among the victims were 18-year-old Deshawn Johnson, a youth participant in the foundation’s initiatives, and 33-year-old Aaron “Coach Ball” Hines, a beloved mentor and leader with the Offender Alumni Association.
The Therapy Support Fund aims to offer trauma-informed therapy and mentorship to youth and families impacted by the violence. The Rocket Foundation is collaborating with community organizations like HOPE Hustlers and the Offender Alumni Association to ensure the support reaches those who need it most. These groups are already on the frontlines, working to break the cycle of violence through intervention and mentorship.
Quavo’s foundation is not only contributing funds but also encouraging public donations to expand the reach of this critical initiative. In a statement, The Rocket Foundation emphasized its commitment to providing real-time mental health support for communities devastated by violence.
This effort is a continuation of Quavo’s dedication to humanitarian causes. The rapper, who was recently named “Humanitarian of the Year” by Variety, is using his platform to address systemic issues and provide tangible support to his hometown of Atlanta.
For those looking to contribute, donations to the Therapy Support Fund can be made through The Rocket Foundation’s Pledge page. This initiative is a powerful reminder of the role community and compassion play in healing and rebuilding after tragedy.
