Civil rights icon and US Democratic Representative, John Lewis (D-GA) returned to the bridge in Selma, Alabama where he marched for civil rights 55 years ago.  He made a surprise appearance this past weekend at this year’s “Bloody Sunday”commemorative march in Selma, Alabama, where he delivered an impassioned plea to voters to use the ballot box as “a nonviolent instrument or tool to redeem the soul of America.”

The strength of this Civil Rights icon is truly remarkable. Especially, as he continues his fight to battle Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.
